Job Summary This is a temporary position meant to last 3-9 months depending on several factors.

Provides administrative support to human resources in the areas of compensation, medical, benefits, staffing, employment, employee and labor relations, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action (AA), and organizational development and training. Specific duties may Include processing forms to document human resources activities; researching, compiling, and proofing human resources-related administrative-type assignments and reports; and providing general customer service, including answering questions regarding established human resources policies and procedures.

Job Specifications This position will provide basic administrative support to the HR Records team at Sandia. This position will be support high demand and will be fast-paced. Activities include processing new hires, working with digitized HR Personnel files, verification of employment, and other clerical duties.

Knowledge, Skills, Ability Knowledge of human resources-related practices in one or more of the following disciplines: employee benefits, medical, compensation, EEO, diversity, employee relations, leadership development, HRIS, organizational development, staffing, or training. Knowledge of governmental regulations related to human resources policies and procedures. Experience providing administrative services and activities, including experience using a variety of Sandia National Laboratories and human resources business computer systems. Experience conducting research and investigating alternative solutions to administrative support activities. Knowledge of records management and retention schedules. Skill in the preparation and presentation of human resources-related reports. Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to work with highly confidential and personal information. Knowledge of Sandia's overall organizational structure, mission and goals.

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

  • High School Diploma

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications (Desired)

  • Experience working with Human Capital systems such as PeopleSoft
