Job Summary Provides administrative support to human resources in the areas of compensation, medical, benefits, staffing, employment, employee and labor relations, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action (AA), and organizational development and training. Specific duties may include processing forms to document human resources activities; researching, compiling, and proofing human resources-related administrative-type assignments and reports; and providing general customer service, including answering questions regarding established human resources policies and procedures.

Job Specifications The focus of this position will be on the creation of salary determination forms the compensation analysts use to calculate salary changes for incoming hires or movement throughout Sandia. The position will be responsible for calculating years of relevant experience, reviewing degrees, and reviewing candidate qualifications against minimum qualifications for the job.

Provides clerical support to one or more functional areas of human resources, Including compensation, medical, benefits, staffing, training, employee and labor relations, or EEO and AA. Processes a variety of human resources forms such as applications, pay changes, and benefit enrollment forms; tracks data and runs routine reports from the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Updates or modifies employee information. Responds to routine questions from both internal and external sources. May schedule Interviews between job candidates and recruiters or managers.

Knowledge, Skills, Ability Knowledge of human resources-related practices in one or more of the following disciplines: employee benefits, medical, compensation, EEO, diversity, employee relations, leadership development, HRIS, organizational development, staffing, or training. Knowledge of governmental regulations related to human resources policies and procedures. Experience providing administrative services and activities, Including experience using a variety of Sandia National Laboratories and human resources business computer systems. Experience conducting research and investigating alternative solutions to administrative support activities. Knowledge of records management and retention schedules. Skill in the preparation and presentation of human resources-related reports. Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to work with highly confidential and personal information. Knowledge of Sandia's overall organizational structure, mission and goals.

Minimum Qualifications (Required) Requires high-school diploma plus 5 or more years of directly related experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired) Experience with Human Resources programs

Experience with compensation programs
