The Program Analyst I position is responsible for supporting the Information Management Section with data management, report generation, Investigation and Reinvestigation Budget process, monitoring inventory and equipment tracking. Position will perform desktop support duties related to Microsoft Applications and require strong analytical, problem-solving and computer skills, as well as attention to detail. Using computer software, this position will also create and maintain databases; enter and retrieve data; analyzes, creates and presents reports from databases.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provides intermediate level working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook).

  2. Performs data queries, and retrieves data to prepare reports using Microsoft Access and Excel.

  3. Compute basic statistics including mathematical averages and percentages.

  4. Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all contractor computer equipment to include peripherals.

  5. Assist in the preparation and management of Office of Personnel and Facility Clearances (OPFC) investigation and reinvestigations budgets.

  6. Prepare Active, Terminated and Pending reconciliation reports for DOE NNSA Field Offices.

  7. Prepare clear and concise written communications and make oral presentations.

  8. Provide customer service to OPFC federal and contract management, NNSA Field Offices and NNSA and DOE Headquarters representatives.

  9. All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 1 year of relevant work experience in a business-related discipline.

  2. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook).

  3. Minimum of one-year experience with database report generating software and programs in a business environment.

  4. Minimum of one-year experience with analyzing data with budget experience and knowledge of standard accounting or bookkeeping practices and techniques.

  5. Requires strong analytical experience and problem-solving skills.

  6. Demonstrated knowledge in the following areas; good verbal and presentation skills at the professional level, communication, effective writing techniques and computer skills.

  7. Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.Applicant selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation, and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter.

Desired Qualifications:

  1. Active DOE Q or other active clearance highly desired.

  2. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Report Builder software for creating queries and reports is preferred.
