The Financial Analyst will support the Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Initiative contract vis-à-vis Lockwood Hills, LLC.The ADL Initiative was founded in 1999 and conducts research, development, testing and evaluation to enhance distributed learning across the US federal government. The ADL Initiative engages in thought leadership to help craft the vision of future learning science and technology, innovate research and development (R&D) to mature emerging concepts, coordinate related efforts with stakeholders across government, industry and academia, and facilitate transition.

Reporting to the Operations Director and conducting both day-to-day and strategic- level budgeting and financial activities, as well as assisting on contracting items upon the request of the Chief of Staff.

As the Financial Analyst, you will be entrusted to perform the following duties:

  • Provide budget and analytical support for contracts, task orders, basis of estimates and pricing proposals

  • Calculate ETC, EAC, run rates, and cost and schedule performance indexes for multiple programs

  • Must be able to establish internal tracking for budgets, estimates, actuals, contracts and deliverable schedules

  • Must have experience in managing and working with government contracts, budgeting, preferably service contracts

  • Manage internal reports to the Director regarding contract financial performance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship, active Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5-7 years work experience in related field, government contracts environment preferred

  • Experience with pricing models, budgets, cost estimating, financial tools

  • Exceptional communication skills – written, verbal and presentation – with internal and external parties

  • Prior experience in a government/military service environment highly desirable

  • Ability to handle diverse, complex assignments concurrently

  • Experience with government contracts, purchase orders, deliverables

  • Must possess a strong customer focus

  • Strong business acumen

  • Excellent time management
