Summary

Reportingto the Accounts Payable Manager. Performs various technical accountingtransactions which require familiarity with office procedures and prescribedaccounting codes and classifications. Identifies and corrects routine discrepancies

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be familiar with all aspects of the Costpoint,Time Clock Plus, and Esker computer systems to process payments, performresearch, run reports, and assist with any discrepancies.

  • Prepare downloads, review for errors,upload into system for AP/Payroll/Billing.

  • Using Excel, reconcile statements to NMSrecords in Costpoint.

  • Prepare direct billings for selectedunits. Ensure outstanding balance is properly reconciled using Excel.

  • Assist in maintaining Accounts Payable,Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Payroll department’s files.

  • Assist with audit requests.

  • This position does not have anysupervisory responsibilities.

  • Other related duties may also beassigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.

  • Associate Degree or working towards degreeand have completed at least one (1) class in accounting or finance.

  • Minimum one (1) year Accountingexperience in a computerized environment supplemented by additional years ofcomputer work experience.

  • Prior experience must have included allrelevant Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions in an automatedcomputerized environment, including maintenance, scanning, preparation, dataentry, filing, and reconciling accounts.

  • Demonstrateability to complete work in a neat, timely and accurate manner.

  • Ability to follow direction, work withina team, and establish credibility with all levels of management and staff ofthe Company to which they are assigned.

  • Intermediate skillset in Microsoft Wordand Excel skills.

  • Strongorganizational skills with the ability to set priorities to assure deadlinesare met.

  • ExcellentCommunication Skills - Must have exceptional customer service skills. Listens,writes, and speaks effectively, and positively relates and interacts withco-workers and others.

  • Mustdemonstrate exceptional attendance, reliability, dependability and good workethic.

Preferred

  • Associates Degree in Accounting orrelated field.

  • Previous experience with DeltekCostpoint and/or AP automation software.

  • Previous experience in a large, highvolume accounting department.

  • Data entry speed 10,000 kph minimum with98% accuracy.
