Job Summary:

The Program Manager leads project workstreams for a complex Air Force Enterprise IT modernization effort that delivers Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions. The PM defines project objectives, creates implementation plans, coordinates resources, manages timelines, and mitigates risks throughout the implementation lifecycle. This position requires an understanding of Zero Trust architecture, SASE frameworks, and SD-WAN technologies.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as the single point of contact for all SD-WAN and SASE Original Manufacturers (OEMs) and the program Engineering team

  • Develop implementation plans and hold Engineers and OEMs accountable for completing tasks, per the plan

  • Escalate issues and schedule delays

  • Create and update design and architecture documents.

  • Identify, document, and manage Risks, Opportunities, Issues, and Dependencies

  • Ensure the proper scheduling of OEM and program staff and tasks to meet project schedules

  • Maintain deliverable oversight (progress against schedule, compliance with requirements, quality, etc.).

  • Perform financial management and manage OEM and Subcontractor Scope of Work

  • Liaise with Air Force customers and the program team

  • Provide status updates to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years of overall IT-oriented experience.

  • 5 years of project/program management experience.

  • Good working user-level knowledge of Microsoft Office products, to include Project and SharePoint.

  • Active Secret clearance.

  • Ability to work in military-oriented business/technical environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple objectives concurrently.

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and writing.

  • Positive attitude/team player.

  • Travel up to 25%.

Desired Qualifications:

  • PMI PMP certification.

  • BS/BA degree in IT-related field.

  • Experience working in a DoD environment, working in an Air Force environment is a plus.

  • Experience developing complex MS Project schedules.

  • Experience with next generation firewall technology (Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, Versa etc.).

  • Experience with cloud (AWS, Azure, GC, etc.) network and/or security.

  • Understanding of network routing and switching protocols.
