Job Summary:

As a Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic, Unmanned Air Striker specializing in unmanned air systems, this position will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting ground support equipment used in aviation. The responsibilities will include working with a variety of equipment, ensuring their serviceability, and keeping them operational for critical unmanned air missions.

Please note that this position is CONTIGENT upon award.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair:

  • Perform necessary maintenance on a variety of ground support equipment used in unmanned air operations.

  • Diagnose mechanical and electronic circuitry issues.

  • Disassemble, repair, clean, and reinstall components as needed.

  • Equipment Evaluation and Troubleshooting:

  • Effectively evaluate equipment performance and troubleshoot equipment and process problems.

  • Utilize critical analytical skills to identify issues and recommend solutions.

  • Preventive Maintenance:

  • Show competence in preventive maintenance per established schedules for all GSE.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

  • 3+ years of GSE experience working with unmanned air systems.

  • Relevant technical training or certification in aviation maintenance or related field.

  • Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening

  • Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 Investigation result and obtain a CAC.

  • Ability to bring and use own tools.

  • High School Diploma / GED

  • Valid Driver’s License

Desired Qualifications

  • U.S. Army 91 series MOS qualification or civilian equivalent

Pay and Benefits.

  • Hourly Compensation: $31.04

  • Retention Bonus of $5,000 upon completion of 50 hours.

  • Referral Bonus of $500

  • Completion Bonus of $7,000 (Prorated, Performance Period: 5/1/2024 - 2/7/2025)

  • Relocation Assistance: 50 miles or greater distance

Physical Demands:

Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching. Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.
