Job Summary:

Akima Support Operations (ASO) is seeking a candidate to serve as a Project Control Analyst to assist the Business Manager with overseeing financial operations on a federal EAGLE contract at Fort Hood, Texas. This position is responsible for the accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, project set up and invoicing aspects of the contract. The candidate is responsible for effectively communicating with the business office and working side-by-side to achieve successful program deliveries within the budget and cost constraints of the contract.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reports directly to the Business Manager and supports the Program Manager.

  • Understands basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections and makes decisions accordingly.

  • Understands billing procedures and ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for project.

  • Understands the Accounts Payable process and accurate coding procedures.

  • Follows up with client, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices.

  • Overseas the procurement operations

  • Processes Modification and administrative changes to the contract.

  • Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization.

  • Interacts with customer on contract operations

  • Delivers engaging, informative. well-organized presentations.

  • Understands how to communicate difficult and sensitive information tactfully.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of Project Controls.

  • Familiar with MS Office Suites, CostPoint, and Deltek applications.

  • Independent, self-starter who is comfortable working within a distributed office environment.

  • Ability to accomplish program objectives or performance goals and assess progress.

  • Experience administering subcontracts and managing subcontractors and vendors is desired.

Clearance requirements:

  • Applicants selected will be subject to background check and government security investigation.

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Common Access Card.

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years professional work experience in Project Controls in federal government contracting.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/Finance or similar business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, training, facilities maintenance experience.
