Job Summary:

This position will support a diverse portfolio of Federal and Commercial service providers offering expertise aviation, national security, intelligence, facility management, fabrication and logistics. The individual selected for this position will have high strategic impact across the enterprise or business group. The individual will contribute to critical contractual formation and management, as well as support obligations involving high risk and visibility. Successful candidate has a strong work ethic and a desire to grow into the government contract career field. This is an entry level position.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepares, examines, negotiates, and revises contracts.

  • Ensures contracts are consistent with management's goals, policies, and procedures.

  • Reviews documents as part of the analysis of incoming bid requests and develops preliminary contract terms and conditions.

  • Assures that all clarifications and amendments of negotiations are incorporated into the final contract. Generates, maintains, and audits a central contract-resource file.

  • Ensures that necessary procedural controls exist.

  • Participates in negotiations with existing or prospective suppliers.

  • Performs work under direct supervision.

  • Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have 0-2 related years of experience in field.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience or knowledgeable of systems used for data management (SharePoint, Word, Excel).

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business.

  • Basic understanding or awareness of FAR/DFARS, GSA Federal Schedules, Federal IDIQ, GWAC contracts and supplemental government acquisition regulations.

  • Experience working with Federal Contracts.

  • Certification in Federal Contracting.

  • Ability to obtain a clearance.

  • Training in business processes and systems (accounting, finance, contracts law, CostPoint, Sharepoint etc.).
