Akima Fitness Center Attendant in Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi
Under direction of Fitness Center Management, executes and ensures daily operations are performed as per established polices & practices. Ensures facilities remain clean and the staff promotes a friendly atmosphere while assisting patrons with questions and equipment needs. Provides superb customer service to military patrons.
Responsibilities
Ensure fitness center rules, regulations and safety practices are properly enforced
Ensure security and accountability of equipment and property
Ensure cleanliness/serviceability of equipment
Maintain accurate event/facility attendance records for programs
Handle telephone inquiries, greet visitors, and provide information as needed
Assist with special events within the department
Performs other related duties as required
Accepts reservations, collects fees, hands out towels, checks out equipment, maintains records of material used, number of patrons and other required information for operation of the facility.
May prepare individual exercise records including measuring and patrons exercise objectives.
Demonstrates proper use of equipment. May monitor exercise areas, sauna, steams rooms, whirlpool and dressing areas to ensure compliance with facility rules.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification
High school diploma
Customer service experience, preferably in a fitness center type environment
Must be available to work any/all shifts as needed (Shifts vary early AM-late PM)
Must be willing to work on holidays
Physical Activities:
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
Work is primarily performed indoors, however may be outdoors to support various sports events and functions
