Job Summary:

AID is looking for a Services Support Technician to work at Keesler AFB, MS.

The Recreation Specialist is responsible for performing day-to-day operational tasks for any one of the following functional areas: McBride Commons, Welch Theater and Bay Breeze Event Center Official Functions. Services provided include but are not limited to; customer service, community event programming and coordination, media support, library oversight, basic facility & equipment maintenance, and other supporting activities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing all duties required for the operation of installation services. Duties include, but are not limited to, customer service, event programming, basic maintenance and cleaning, inventory, stocking, basic technical equipment assistance, and event setup and break down.

  • Develops familiarity with use of a broad spectrum of standard Air Force Digital Library resources online databases, study resources, language resources.

  • Explains digital library rules and regulations to patrons.

  • Shall provide set up and breakdown of Government furnished equipment such as tables, chairs, music system, ice chests, stages, etc. for community center events.

  • Prepares and processes correspondence, reports, and forms; operates office equipment (E.G. Fax, photocopier, scanner); assists customers, and answers telephones.

  • Must be comfortable handling money and operating a cash register.

  • Shall be courteous to customers and able to identify and verbally communicate.

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas.

  • Responsible for completing all assigned Company and Government required training courses.

  • Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools).

  • Performs additional duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional, and mission requirements and/or as directed by supervisors/managers.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • This role may require vehicles to be driven.

  • High school diploma

  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license.

  • Must have ability to meet the requirements for issuance of a computer network account (favorable national agency check and successfully complete computer security training) and any required security clearances.

  • Must have proficient English verbal and written communication skills.

  • Computer skills required: ability to utilize computer automated systems to perform assigned duties including Microsoft Office products, planning, ordering materials, and complete timesheet; ability to navigate Air Force Portal resources.
