Job Summary:

The Security Program Analyst to support RiverTech contract with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Office of Security and Integrity (OSI) within the Field Security Division. The Security Program Analyst provides their expertise and on-site analytical support services in physical security and facility safety to OSI Regional Security Chiefs, Deputies and Field Security Managers.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise in support of the Regional Operations Security (OPSEC) Program and Regional Active Assailant. Program to include assisting with implementation of planning, awareness, training and assessments.

  • Recommend physical security countermeasures or solutions to technical and programmatic challenges.

  • Assist in quality management of security plans and security reviews by reviewing plans for quality assurance and adherence to applicable federal and USCIS standards.

  • Draft technical technical reports, briefs and papers that support Field Security Program and Safety Program initiatives.

  • Provide project scheduling support when assisting other departments with internal projects.

  • Maintain the data and integrity of the data in databases, web content, records and other files as needed.

  • Assist in developing security countermeasures and security plans.

  • Provide or update a monthly status report summarizing support of various physical security programs, OSHA and USCIS facility safety related projects, surveys and reports for every trip made in support of Physical Security Support or Facility Physical Safety Support projects and initiatives.

  • Analyze and identify trends or issues within all types of security reviews to include secure form reviews, sensitive property reviews, National Security Information reviews, application support center reviews or any other security reviews in support of the security office.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly or annual reports to support security program objectives.

  • Conduct inquiries into security related Significant Incident Reports (SIRs) and update reports in USCIS web-based system to reflect event resolution as needed.

  • Provide subject matter facility safety expertise, technical assistance and guidance to support the facility safety of USCIS operating locations.

  • Support the coordination of agency-wide compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and other related Executive Orders, Federal laws, regulations, DHS and USCIS Directives and instructions or OSI direction.

  • Recommend safety program changes or solutions to technical and programmatic challenges.

  • Conduct site surveys to document and assess the physical plant of USCIS operating locations in compliance with OSHA and other USCIS established safety program initiatives.

  • Travel as directed by the COR to test and evaluate facilities for OSHA compliance, conduct mishap investigations and safety surveys so that appropriate solutions can be developed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship wth the ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance eligibility and favorable pre-employment USCIS Entry on Duty (EOD) and Suitability Determinations.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Criminal Justice, or related field.

  • Minimum five (5) years of work experience relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the position; relevant work experience may be considered as a substitute for degree requirements.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to perform and complete task.

  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project, as well as SharePoint or other collaboration software

  • Willing to travel up to 25% within the United States annually.

  • Demonstrated ability to produce detailed and independent written correspondence in order to communicate operational requirements.

  • Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to think logically and work effectively within group settings or independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to receive general guidance and instructions from a supervisor or via established standard operating procedures, and act upon them with minimal supervision.

Posted Salary Range

75,000 - 85,000
