Job Description

Summary

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in construction project activities onsite. Responsible for overseeing the work and interacting with site foremen to ensure a smoothly run job site throughout the work day.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise construction project activities at Red Dog Mine.

  • Responsible for site organization, project delivery, execution, and team accountability.

  • Reports on employee performance, working conditions and productivity to NANA Construction leadership.

  • Ensures safety equipment is available and maintains safe working conditions on the job site.

  • Monitors and trains employees to ensure they are compliant with both federal safety mandates and safety regulations established by the company or organization. Verifies workers are using provided safety gear.

  • Inspects the job sites to identify and correct possible safety hazards.

  • Responsible for maintaining quality of work produced by employees.

  • This position has supervisory responsibilities.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent or ten (10) years Foreman experience will be considered.

  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience as a Foreman in the construction industry required.

  • Previous supervisory experience leading team of skilled trade professionals on construction project sites required.

  • Previous remote site experience required.

  • Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Travel may require an employee or contractor to pass a TSA security checkpoint. If the employee or contractor does not have valid identification, they will not be able to travel until valid identification is obtained and verified.
