Nakuuruq Solutions, an Akima, LLC company delivers on-base support and training services that enable superior training simulators, fabrication solutions, telecommunications, business operations, and mission outcomes.

The person filling this position will be required to assist in the operation and maintenance of the C-5 ARPTT at JBSA-Lackland. Their duties will consist of performing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual inspections and the maintenance of operational and maintenance documentation; they will conduct on-off equipment electronic, mechanical and hydraulic alignments and repairs.

They will be required to operate the Instructor Operator Station in both operational and maintenance modes and be able to fly the trainer to identify and correct any operational deficiencies prior to any daily training being accomplished.

They will participate in the installation of both Training System Support Center (TSSC) and third party modifications, modification testing and Simulator Certifications (SIMCERTs).

Will verify and validate updated hardware documentation as it is delivered by the TSSC.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or GED or 5 years of electronics maintenance experience.

  • Prior work experience and ability to test/troubleshoot, repair and modify electrical/mechanical components and/or systems.

  • Prior work experience and ability to perform preventive and routine maintenance on training devices.

  • Demonstrated experience in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics and wiring diagrams.

  • Demonstrated experience in reading and interpreting USAF publications and manufacture’s technical data.

  • Demonstrated experience in assisting with the installation of training device modifications.

  • Demonstrated experience in applying and complying with Safety Policies and Procedures.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Aircrew Training Device and/or aircraft experience preferred.

  • Working ability to solder and unsolder components.

  • Working ability to conduct functional and operational tests using test equipment.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.

  • Working knowledge of Quality Assurance, HAZMAT, Lock Out/Tag Out, Tool Control Procedures.

  • Working knowledge and experience in the operation and maintenance of Aerial Refueling Part Task Trainer is a strong plus.

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
