The Production Manageroversees all departments in a diverse healthcare kitchen environment.
This position would require living in or around San Carlos, Arizona.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plansand or implements and supervises programs on a variety of nutritionallybalanced, well presented and cost effective menus.
Proficientin maintaining food cost relative to budget.
Meetswith production staff daily to discuss operations.
Meetswith supervisors and production staff to discuss daily menus, issues, andproblems.
Directs,trains, supervises all assigned personnel.
Maintainsvarious administrative materials including time sheets, accounting materials,schedules and safety records.
Performsa wide variety of high volume food production and preparation duties.
Ensuressafe food and physical safety platform and program to comply with Food serviceand health care regulations.
Continuouslyimproves the quality of provided services.
Overseesordering, receiving inventory and communication with all vendors.
Inspectsincoming freight against invoices and verifying supplies received.
Ensuresa high degree of sanitation is observed in all assigned areas.
Directlysupervises assigned food production employees in a high volume productionkitchen.
Supervisoryresponsibilities include assigning, and directing work; appraising performance;rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolvingproblems.
Mayinterview, hire, and train employees
Thisposition is responsible for the supervision of staff.
Otherduties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may beassigned.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Must have five (5) years experience in large scale food productionenvironment with at least three (3) of those years managing a production staffof 25 or more.
Experience must also demonstrate knowledge of proper food servicesanitation methods and equipment, supervisory skills, leadership skills, andfood preparation quality control procedures.
Must have basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suiteapplications; Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
A valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for thepast three (3) years to be eligible under NMS’ vehicle insurance policy.
Two (2) year culinary degree from an accredited college.
Candidates will have the ability to instruct and train others aswell as the ability to handle multiple tasks occurring at the same time

Description of environment:This is an industrial hospital kitchen located in a healthcare setting.
Physical requirements:Employee is required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Frequently required tosit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel,crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.
Travel: Up to 5% of the time.
