Cloud Lake Technology is looking for a Sr. Cloud Systems Administrator to join our team supporting one of our current government customers!In this role, you will be responsible for planning & transitioning our client’s legacy infrastructure to an established private cloud with hybrid cloud options being added at this time. Perform O&M of the private clouds post transition.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as cloud service administrator and manages all cloud services with commitment to implementing best practices in optimization, quality assurance cloud architecture, design, engineering, testing and implementation

  • Monitors and manages cloud network operations and infrastructure services according to requirements specified in agreements with customer and stakeholders

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for private/ hybrid cloud environments

  • Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with the private cloud environments and implements: cloud services support, cloud operations, and security all private cloud operations

  • Executes tasks defined in the cloud computing project plans, schedules, design, development, integration, securing, documentation and deployment of using best practices in cloud computing methodologies and standards

  • Coordinates activities with other technical personnel as appropriate

  • Install, configure and manage VMware virtualization environments using Microsoft and VMware Suites of products

  • Provide Operation and Sustainment support for the virtualization environment

  • Develop and implements functionality based on provided guidance and requirements for private / hybrid cloud services

  • Establish and comply with organizational standards and frameworks in creating and maintaining private cloud environments

  • Participate and facilitate information exchange within organization stakeholder to ensure the project meets business and customer requirements

  • Provide input to transition functionality from legacy equipment to the organizations’ private clouds

  • Post development activities include Operations and Management (O&M) support. Compliance with all CM processes and procedures as elements evolved from dev to test to prod

  • Collect and provide data/metrics that support any required SLA, MOU and MOAs

  • Assesses the alignment of engineering design principles/trends with desired mission strategies and objectives, concept of operations, business processes, and technology standards

  • Coordinates with change management in collaboration with organizational cloud services governance

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or equivalent

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in cloud related platforms

  • Extensive Microsoft or VMware Virtualization Experience - design, implement, and Cloud based Solutions

  • Demonstrated various operating systems Administration skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call

  • Ability to do limited travel (0 - 8 times a year)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Cloud related certifications such as AWS or Azure

  • VCA Data Center (and/or Cloud) certification a plus

  • .Net experience a plus - RedHat and Ubuntu O/S experience a plus

  • Virtual platform network skills and demonstrated experience in a complex network a plus

  • Experience working in Agile methodologies

  • Experience working Application Development and Operations teams

  • PowerShell script or equivalent demonstrated experience

  • Experience with software development tool

  • Strong troubleshooting and conflict resolution skills
